Size: 12in x 16in
Material: Oil on canvas
This image of Natterjack Toads (Epidalea calamita) is a recent painting. These beautiful little toads breed in shallow, sandy-bottomed pools and are restricted to sand dune systems, heathland, and saltmarshes. Many years ago, I played a small part in their much-needed conservation, and legal protection, in the UK.
